Swami Rama

Swami Rama was raised from early childhood by a great yogi and saint of Bengal (Bengali Baba) who lived in the foothills of the Himalayas. In his early  years, he practiced various disciplines of Yoga and Philosophy in the monasteries of the Himalayas. After completing an intense practice, he emerged with the determination to serve humanity, by bringing the teachings of the East to the West. At the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kansas, Swami Rama demonstrated, under controlled laboratory conditions, his exquisite control of involuntary physiological states and functions. Swami Rama established the Himalayan Institute of Yoga, Science and Philosophy of the U.S.A. in the early 1970s and in his 23 years in the U.S., he became recognized as a yogi, teacher, philosopher, author, poet, humanist and philanthropist. He returned to India in 1989 to establish the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust at Jolly Grant, Dehradun.

Dr.R.Sathyanarayana

Guru Sri Sathyanandanatha of Mysuru, a Padmasri awardee and popularly known as Mahamahopadhyaya Dr. R. Sathyanarayana, is an internationally acclaimed Danceologist, Musicologist and a Srividya adept. Sri Sathyanandanatha as he is addressed in Srividyaranya tradition, is an adept in Vedic learning, the Darshanas and the Tantra Shastras. He is a venerated guru in Srividya Tantra belonging to Srividyaranya tradition. He is the author of the classic book (3 volumes) on Srividya Tantra – “Srividya Shodashika” in which he presents the quintessential wisdom of Srividya tradition from the depth of his direct experiences

Yogacharya Pattabhiram

Yogacharya Guruji Pattabhiram studied under many masters/philosophers like Sri Jiddu Krishnamurthy (JK), Sri B.K.S. Iyengar, Swami Vishnudevananda and played active roles in institutions like Rishi Valley School, Kaivalya Dhama and Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy. His spiritual voyage found its anchorage in meeting his Guru Swami Rama of the Himalayas. Swami Rama initiated him in higher practices of Yoga and Srividya. Guruji Pattabhiram also received guidance from Guru Sathyanandanatha of Mysuru, popularly known as Mahamahopadyaya Dr. R. Sathyanarayana. Guruji Pattabhiram traveled extensively in India, USA, Canada and other countries for many decades to teach, inspire and guide people with the wisdom of yogic science. Guruji's greatest contributions to humanity are his lectures on Patanjali Yoga Sutras and Gayatri Maha Mantra

Sakalama (Guru Jyothi Pattabhiram)

Sakalamaa, founder of Vimarsha Yoga, has been serving the Yogis of Himalayan and Srividya traditions for the past 3 decades. Sakalamaa got initiated into Yoga and Inner Tantric Yoga (Srividya) by Swami Rama of the Himalayas 30 years back. Under his tutelage, she deepened her journey in the path of Inner Tantric Yoga (Srividya). After Swami Rama left his body, he blessed her to enhance her Sadhana in Inner Tantric Yoga (Srividya) in the South Indian tradition under the tutelage of Guru Sri Satyanandanatha of Mysore. Through her dedication to the guru and the shastra, she deepened her practice and experiences on Inner Tantric Yoga (Srividya). Under the guidance of Sri Satyanandanatha, she has done intense practice of Inner Tantric Yoga (Srividya) and deep study of various sacred texts in Inner Tantric Yoga (Srividya) tradition. She shares the wisdom of the Yogis gained through direct experience in her workshops and lectures on Srividya. She initiates students into one of the most sacred practices of Srividya namely Chandra Vidya
